Abaay was born, brought up and married in Bardheere before drought forced her and her family( husband and her son) to flee to Mogadishu in search of assistance in 2018. Promotion of optimal infant feeding practices at Barwaqo and Ambulatorio MCHs throughout the Breastfeeding Week. Our IYCF Counsellors were mandated to do this activity through-out the week. i.e , exclusive breastfeeding starting within one hour after birth until a baby is 6 months old, Timely introduction of Complementary feeds, while continuing to breastfeed for up to 2 years.
