SORRDO celebrated WBW with Wardhigley community through the following events.

Promotion of optimal infant feeding practices at Barwaqo and Ambulatorio MCHs throughout the Breastfeeding Week. Our IYCF Counsellors were mandated to do this activity through-out the week. i.e , exclusive breastfeeding starting within one hour after birth until a baby is 6 months old, Timely introduction of Complementary feeds, while continuing to breastfeed for up to 2 years.

Khalid Qassim Ibrahim is a 3 year old boy born to a very poor family who lives in Hantiwadaag waxda of Wardhigley District. His Mother Fartun Hassan and Father Qassim are jobless. Qassim is a porter while Fartun is a house wife. The family also has another 7 children to feed and with no steady income the family faces constant challenges to feed.
